DS just threw up twice in the last hour. He hasn't had anything funny to eat, just been nursing. DS is 9 months and really hasn't ever been sick, except a runny nose and cough twice, he's never thrown up. I think he has the stomach bug thats been going around my area. My sister, her baby, and my mom and stepdad all had it. Even though we avoided them while they were sick. Oh, DH's boss had it too. Anyway, I don't feel sick yet. DS doesn't have a fever ( I just took his temp) and is sleeping right now. I think it's pretty short lived, a 24 hour thing. I think nursing as much as he wants and maybe offering water would be best. No solids for a while. I'm also going to take extra vit C. What sucks is that I have to work tonight. I only work one day a week, of course its today that he's sick. DH will have him, but I don't want to work when DS is sick! And I hope I don't get sick. I have plenty of frozen breastmilk, but DS really hasn't been drinking much from a bottle lately, but nurses a ton when I'm with him. I don't want to work tonight! Well, maybe the worst is already over. I can call and check in and I know DH will take good care of him.

I posted a very similar post about Carter's first illness 2 weeks ago <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">. I was pretty nervous. It turned out that Carter had roseola.<br><br>
It sounds like you are doing everything you should be doing. I'm sorry you have to work tonight.
