For the past week, DS has been up at 4am and wants to eat food. I nurse him and he doesn't seem too interested, but he smacks his lips like he's still hungry. I give him some cheese and some leftovers, and he wolfs it down and then goes right back to sleep.

We eat dinner around 5 or 6 and DS likes to feed himself. I feed him little spoonfuls as well and he eats until he seems full (shakes his head and wants down). He's 14 months old.

I tried giving him cereal or a snack before he goes to bed around 7, and he usually doesn't want it. Then he'll nurse and go to bed around 7:30-8:30.

Do you have any tips for getting your toddler to eat more? Especially if they don't seem to want what you're eating? I'm worried he's not eating enough during the day and that's why he's so hungry at night.

He was sleeping all night for the past few months.

Sounds like he's going through a growth spurt. Try during the day to give him high calorie, high fat foods: cheese, avocado, yogurt, nut butters (if he's old enough for that).
