The pediatric neurologist is seeing him tomorrow instead of next Wednesday. Over the weekend his "episodes" increased dramatically. On Friday he had 20-30 spells. We had him seen this weekend at the ER and the neurologist on call believes that a possible eye infection was triggering more seizures so they wanted me to treat his eye and see if that helped. The doctor also said his ear was "pink" and wanted me to treat it but I don't think it needs to be treated. If it were infected that would be different but it wasn't. We've dealt with thrush for 8 months of ds life, the last thing I'm going to do is give him unecessary antibiotics. Plus the seizures did decrease a lot the last few days on their own.

I hope we get some answers tomorrow but at the same time I don't really expect them. Not yet. It would be too easy that way!

Glad to hear you are having a sooner appointment than expected. Hope the neuro can give you some answers you need. I would be leary of antibiotics, too, as they cause an increase in my dd's seizures.

Best wishes. Let us know how the appointment goes.

I'm so glad you got it bumped up and I hope they can help get a good plan! (antibiotics for pink ear?

Good news!

By the way, ears being red is a sign of neurological distress, so it makes sense. I believe the explanation for that (though forgive me if I am incorrect) is that aside from the female cervix, there are two other cervical points in the body...one is at the anus and one is at the ears. The blood flow at those points is different.
