Since i cant look up the three letter word thing i was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the differences between these...I know they are 2 totally different things but what (if you have used both) is the difference...I know the serging is different and you can really tell which side goes up and which one should face the baby.. But quality wise are they the same?

I have proservice prefolds (DSQ) and I went to a fellow CDs home the other day to find out that CPFs are sooooo soft and my DSQs are stiff

OMG....they are so different!!! I just got true CPF's for the first time...there is NO comparison. I have a few DSQ from my old diaper service we used in the beginning. I thought they were just ok and couldn't understand why everyone loved prefolds so much....til my cpf's came. First off, they are bigger, by an inch or so all around. They are so much thicker. Granted, I just got premium cpf's, so of course the middles are thicker, but even the 4-ply part is thicker. DS was actually outgrowing the DSQ's at 26lbs but has TONS of room to go in the CPF's. I would say they are TOTALLY worth the extra money. I would say the CPF's are much better quality.

I have UBICPF's (indian cotton) and I have CPF's (bleached) and I have DSQ. The DSQ are okay, they do the job, they are not nearly as thick, not nearly as fluffy, not nearly as soft as the CPF's and the UBICPF's are way fluffier/softer/thicker than the CPF's. BUT the UBICPF's are shorter by a long ways, and I don't think will fit as long (I have the premium in the UBICPF's and a 23 lb 11 month old that they don't need to be folded over on) and I have the premium in the bleached CPF's and they are much longer, although not as soft. I want to get some UBCPF's (non indian) to see if the difference is the bleaching or the indian cotton. The indian are by far the softest and nicest, I just wish they were longer so they would fit better.

And since you don't really save much money buying DSQ (even if you buy the in the store gerber ones which are even worse- they are $12 for 6!) I would go for the CPF's (UB is my preference) ~

I have bleached cpf's and ubcpf's, all premium, and they are the same size. So I think the Indian ones much just be smaller in general. HTH!!!

I have UB Indian prefolds, bleached cpf, and UB cpf and the size difference is pretty big. My UBCPF are the biggest, bleached cpf a little smaller and the UB Indian prefolds are by far the smallest.

Yep that is what I have found, they are 'thicker' and softer, but they are MUCH smaller than the other premium's I have. They are nice though!~

It must be a batch thing for the CPF's, because technically my UBCPF's are slightly smaller than the bleached, actually.
