My exMIL called me the other day to tell me that her dad has been dx'd w/ throat, esophogus, lymph node (etc) cancer. He is going to have surgery on the 10th of this month. We haven't told ds. What do I tell him? I am so sad about this already, I love my ex in laws/family. My ex didn't even tell me about this.
I don't even know what else to say except I am sad and the prognosis isn't good at all.
I don't know what to do. Please keep them all in your thoughts & prayers...Thanks.

It's such a tough battle. Just know I'll be thinking of you and your family.

Well, G-Gpa had MORE testing etc. He has made the decision to fight it, chemo, surgery, radiation, whatever it takes.
DS still does not know. He goes to his father's house this weekend. I hope his father doesn't decide to try and tell him (exh isn't very tactful/compassionate, he'd make it like a lecture).
We are going to see about a visit next week before the surgery....I am so scared for G-Gpa (even though I am not a blood relation, just an ex in law) He is such a neat man, always so hard working, and loving, and a great person to know.
Please pray & send healing vibes for G-Gpa N as he goes on this journey....thanks for giving me a place to talk about it.
