Okay I am going to go ahead and throw myself out here and ask some dumb questions. I just would like answers not " I cannot believe how dumb you are!" lol Anyways we bought a new car this weekend and I need to know some answers on using the LATCH system. Our other vehicle did not have the anchors so we only used the Seatbelts. In this new car do i use just the Latch system or seatbelt too? Also we have another one coming in august and I know the middle is the best for a infant seat Which i could just strap ds on either side but what do you guys usually do for a ff and a rf in a car?? I just worry about DS messing with the new baby while im driving kwim?

You use the LATCH stuff, not the seatbelts. When I only had two kids, one carseat went on one side and the other on the other side. Of course, with my car at the time that is the only option I had. You may have more choices.

Just one or the other, not both LATCH and seatbelts

For placement, my DS messed with DD in her seat even though they were both outboard (until we got DD a new seat which is higher). There's no way I could have put her in the middle, even if the seat would have fit.

And if your DS is still small enough I would keep him rear facing for sure, to the limit of your seat. What seat do you have him in now?
I also put both my DS and the new baby outboard in our car and he rarely messes with her, but he is a little older than yours

Ds seat is a graco comfort sport. I have heard all the benefits of rf longer and I feel horrible about switching him so early. I would really like to rf him agian. I think I will install it RFing in the car. It says RF up to 30 lbs on his seat and he is only 25lbs. thank you !

just wanted to point out that you can use latch or the seatbelt, you dont have to use latch just because your car has it. the safest install is the one you can get right

And keep an eye on his height rfing. He has to have 1" of shell above his head. The comfortsport has a short shell.

Also, check your car manual if you are installing in the middle. Some cars don't have latch in the middle and you can't borrow outboard anchors.
