we will be visiting Durango next week, is there anything interesting going on?? i know there is a lot of stuff online, but it usually happens that when we go some place we havent been in mcuh, we'd miss the best stuff... we have an almost 2 yo, so thats a consideration.

i heard the train ride is fun, but is it suitable for a young toddler?

thanks

The train is only up to Cascade this time of year, but that is still a LONG trip with a 2y. We did it a few years back when DD1 was 2 up to Cascade, and it was rough for her, I think we got back at 4 so it still takes most of the day. The Polar Express it running right now, you still get to ride on the train, but it is much more small child friendly. The trip is only an hour, but tickets aren't that cheap either.

Right now town is pretty quiet, I haven't heard of any special things going on this week. It is supposed to snow/rain M-W, some warm storm I guess. There is sledding in-town at Chapman and then 7 miles out of town at Hesperus, and then of course up at Purg. Have fun!
