Hi Mamas,

I am thinking of starting a homeschool co-op for children with sensory issues. I have a daughter who is kindergarten-aged, & typically developing except for DSI and some emotional volatility and social delays. I'm thinking of keeping it home-based, hiring a really good teacher, and keeping numbers super-low- like 4 children. Philosophically, I am a lover of Alphie Kohn's work, especially The Schools our Children Deserve, Unconditional Parenting, etc, as well as How to talk so kids will listen, Playful Parenting and Reggio- inspired environments and of course the Sensational Child, Out of Sync Child & Out of syn child has fun, etc. Intrigued? PM me if you want to know more....

No, I didn't ever make it to Pinky's house. : Sorry, naptime interfered with that.

I saw a post in the tribal areas, so you did successfully cross-post. I think there are at least a couple of mamas here who have kids with sensory issues who aren't on the spectrum (my ds is autistic), they may take an interest. I think it's a really good idea.
