Hey all - just thought an intro was in order. Baby is still dancing around so I doubt we'll be birthing imminently, but certainly could be a June OR July baby - I changed midwives mid-preg. and my due dates have been July 1st, 3rd, or 4th We're staying home (in the hot tub set on low!) with the doula for as long as possible, and then heading over to the MW friendly hospital to meet Patty and Louise and get into the birth tub there. I spent hours doing farm chores today, finishing my herb garden, picking up our doeling that got disbudded - I think my nesting hormones are starting to kick in! I know I can *maintain* our food gardens with baby here, but I know they'll never get in if I don't finish planting now. Hugs, Shannon in Jersey

Welcome, Shannon! It sounds like you're keeping yourself busy. I saw on your other post you're considering turning your farm into a CSA -- I think that's awesome!!

Thanks Shana Everyone locally has been SO receptive - there's one other in our county, but since we live in NJ, that's a LOT of people without access to one. I hope it's a great sucess - wish I could have started the marketing plan this year but didn't my first preg. to be so wearing! We'll be doing the usual veggies and fruits, and also including eggs and honey twice a year when we harvest it. Maybe doing something with goat's milk too - soap or something that doesn't require the permits raw milk stuff does. Our website is silverforgefarm.com Hugs, Shannon
