that is just sick. I hope they sue them. The government needs to get control of the health field ASAP. The grandpa sounds like he is brainwashed into believing that people don't deserve better.

Can someone unpack this for me alittle bit? If I red correctly, the mother is an Israeli, but the fatehr is palestinian? this makes me wonder if the momi9s an Arab Israeli, and that makes me wonder, would this have happened to a non arab Israeli, or to an Israeli who was married to another Israeli instead of a Palestinian?

But regardless even of the answers to those questions, that's just messed up. Really really messed up.

To clarify an obvious misunderstanding here, the hospital is a Palestinian hospital in Arab East Jerusalem. It is not an Israeli or Jewish hospital. It's actually kind of famous as one of the better Palestinian medical centers.

Just to clarify that part.

well we don't have debtors prisons anymore, so no I don't think we will see it in the US. But we hold kids hostage for other things, like blackmailing parents to submit to medical care that "authorities" believe they have the right to demand. Case in point in CO where parents were told to submit their child for infant immunizations or CPS would be called and they would be given anyway. Old case, no i don't have links, but it's been discussed here previously.
