Had a dying party with a friend today, after the kiddos were done with their eggs the mamas broke out the yarn to dye <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>

Last year we did the same thing, but we didn't heat set the dye long enough and most of the colors washed out in the rinse, this year we nuked the heck out of those suckers and nothing rinsed out! I'm so glad too! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

Cool -- be sure and hit the stores on Monday to get the 1/2 price egg-dyeing kits. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> I have a huge bag of them that my mom got a couple of years ago, .10 a piece at Big Lots. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> I've already used a ton of it for my yarn, and the kids and I never have to worry about dyeing eggs and buying the dye for it.

The only ones I'm really happy with are the Wilton (green) and the onion skin (yellow-ish).<br><br>
The others are all liquid food color (except the brown is coffee, and I think I didn't make it strong enough).
