My appetite is beginning to come back but I'm finding I can't keep up. Before pregnancy, I wasn't a huge eater so this is such a difficult adjustment for me. I'm constantly hungry. Just when I've eaten, I'm hungry again. This child is sucking me dry. I'm soooo frustrated tonight. I'm tired of having food in my mouth all the time. I can't eat a lot at once either or I get severe indigestion. Am I the only one?

I found having easy-to-grab high protein snacks helped me not feel like I was starving constantly. Eggs, peanut butter, crackers & hummus, etc.

Yup. And I have to eat FAST once I feel hungry or the hunger will turn into nausea and that just sucks. Every night I eat a big plate of pasta right before bed (healthy, right??) so I can make it through the night. Pregnancy. Fun stuff.

No you are not the only one. I eat from breakfast until I go to bed. Cereal AND toast for breakfast, usually enormous lunches and a peanut butter sandwich for a snack and then a big dinner. Ugh... I'm starving all the time!

oh, what a relief! I hadn't really noticed this until yesterday, when i found myself eating my lunch at 10:30 am...hmmmm....and then I snacked the rest of the day at work....and then i went home and wanted more....

I'm not going to worry about it - i think some of it is that I need to drink more liquids and some of it is that I am a snacker! It is nice to want to eat again, though

I completely understand. I've been feeling this way since I got pregnant and can't eat big meals either. I spent Thanksgiving being TOTALLY miserable, especially since no one knew I was pregnant yet and I was trying to act normal! I just kept eating lots of small things but for me, it's slowing down finally. I actually have found that this week I only eat when I'm hungry which isn't ALL the time anymore. Weird huh?

I think it helps to go shopping every week and find different snacks. I got totally bored of the same things that I ended up having to eat every day. Good luck Momma!

you kow what tho?
the many small meals a day thing is a good habitt to get into know.
even if it;s forced apon you by indigestion, because later on in he pregnancy you won't be able to eat much at one sitting because the stomach will be so squished and small by the giganto baby. And then once baby is born you'll be hungry alllll the time while getting BFing off the ground.

try chewing gum inbetween your mini meals. It cleanses your palate and works out your jaw

I hate the fact that I have a five-minute "hungry" window before it changes to "nauseated." Ugh. I have other things to do besides eat!
