I searched informational products and got a million results and searched ebooks and got 7 results . I am VERY interested in writing short ebooks as I recently bought a 30 page (double spaced) ebook for $7 on how to make/write $7 ebooks and why they are the best etc. It really resonated with me and I actually already have a domain bought and paid for for a year and an ebook that is 99% done (about GPT). I also wanted to write about finacial planning, something to do with money/retirment/investments, I talked to my mom and told her to write a few about simple living, dogs, cats, birds etc (we will split profits or something) and also have a good friend that is very creative that I might hit up for a creativity ebook. I know I have other ideas (i just can't seem to remember to write them down!!) but my biggest challenge is SELLING the darn things. I have no email list and a small budget with which to advertise.

I would be interested in any information from someone who has done anything like this successfully. TIA!!

It's probably not something I would pay $ for.

There is so much free information on the web, I think they would be a hard thing to sell. If you could sell them to a site that pays for articles you might have better luck.

Probably the easiest way would be to put it on Clickbank so others who have established sites could sell your book to their sites and get a referral fee for it. Otherwise, you could try setting up sales pages and running Google AdWord campaigns.

I have to admit I'm a sucker for e-books. Instant gratification. If the intro page is compelling enough, I'll fork over $120 if I see that the e-book is popular. Otherwise, I'd only pay $10 or less.

Oh, and usually the e-books I buy are about Adwords - things that will make me that investment right back.

Good luck, I've read alot about this and wish I had time to write my own e-books on topics I love!

Putting together information products is exactly what I've been working on. The hardest part, for me anyway, is coming up with the idea and making sure it has an audience who wants it.

Actually creating it is easy -- at least it became easy when I realized I didn't have to sit down and write everything down. I could do audio or video. Wow! Much easier.

Good luck in your endeavor! (And remember, once you've got the first one done, the second and third ones will be much easier. )
