Ewww... I think that stuff is also used for keeping cut flowers moist. Put the chemical gel balls in a vase, add water, put in the flowers and viola!

Dh and I went shopping today just for soemthing to do.... at the mall (Fashion Valley for those of you in San DIego) they put in a christmas store for the holiday season (which apparently begins in the middle of summer lol)... anyways, I'm walking around (I LOVE xmas!) and near the cash register I see this display of little white "envelopes" and a bowl of what loooks like snow... OMG... I am almost positive that IT IS POLYACRYLATE!!! The same nasty stuff that is in disposies and now they are marketing it as FAKE SNOW!!!! OMG!!!! Sure, put that crap out where your kid can EAT IT and your dog can EAT IT... AAAACK!!

Of course I had to say in a LOUD voice how gross it is and how it can kill your pets, etc... DH just laughed and called me a diaper nazi

I cant believe they have a Xmas store open already....I hate that they do this. It seems that every year they put out the displays earlier and earlier. THis weekend at Michael's the Halloween stuff was on Clearance!!! I thought we still had a month left till that holiday??
