OOOOOH! You must be nervous but how fabulous to finally have a Waldorf community around you! Congrats!
Yay! Yay! Yay!

We're in the Pacific Northwest and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it here! Such a wonderful place to live.

Keeping my fingers crossed that you move to the PDX area.

How exciting.

Nice! I may be partial but the Pacific Northwest is an excellent place to live and raise a family. We're in Washington about 20 minutes from the Tacoma Narrows bridge. I think Olympia would be a really nice community...very crunchy.
Awesome! I'm envious...I've always wanted to check out the Pacific Northwest. Keep us posted!

Olympia's really great. We lived next door in Tumwater. Tumwater is really scenic, on a hill, lots of trees, just beautiful. I'm not really a fan of Tacoma.

I was just telling my husband about this thread, and he asked, "what does her husband do?"

So....what does your husband do?

We live across the river from PDX in Vancouver - I really love it here. We have hopes to eventually move a little farther north - towards Battleground/Brush Prairie and settle on a couple of acres - but we need the market to rebound a bit before we do that.

right now his job (he's in the USAF) is working on ejection seats but he's crosstraining into recruiting. that was the only way to get a job in a small town away from a base. we don't love his job but it pays the bills, kwim?

ughhhh i can't wait to find out where we'll be! i hope to have a bigger garden at this new place!
Doesn't his boss know that application time for private schools is in January/February? Clearly this guy doesn't have his priorities straight!

Congratulations on the PNW! It's GORGEOUS! If he's got to work in recruiting, at least you are going to have someplace really nice to live.

Yay! Back to my home states! (I'm from OR and WA) You are going to love it there! So many cool things to do and see. And as I said in your other thread, Cedarwood School is amazing. If you go and visit, spend some time in the park. It's an enchanting place!
i am excited for you nicole. change can be so fun and you are moving to one of my favorite parts of our country.

i'll look forward to hearing more...
aww thanks for asking

Yay!!!!

I'm assuming this is the Portland area?!

I'm in Vancouver - just across the Columbia River and part of the Portland metro area. We can have play dates!

(I don't think we'll actually be attending a Waldorf school, but we may homeschool with a Waldorf influence.)
