Can anyone help me understand this and hopefully calm me down?
My daughter has been battling something for almost a month now. At first it was a high fever that came and went. She hasn't had a fever since Feb 16. But this past Tuesday, she developed an ear infection. She's on antibiotics and is hugely improved, acting and eating totally like herself.
We got the results back from her latest round of bloodwork, done to see if her levels returned to normal. Her platelet count is still slightly elevated at 10.5 and her ESR rate is 120. Is this just from her ear infection, even though it's been treated for days now?
