DH left me and my three young children a month ago and was supposed to be paying rent and electric but we are now facing an eviction. I am freaking out as I havent a dime, no frineds or family and dont know what to do. I am new to the area, live in NC, does anyone knwo what the laws are for eviction here. How long do I have till we would have to vacate if it comes to that? I live in Macon county if that matters. I am at such a loss here and feeling so helpless, wanting desperatly just to keep my home for my kids sake. They have been through enough!

I am so sorry for your situation! I know you must be scared and worried for you and your children. Can you contact him about the late rent? Are you able to load your car with all you valuable things and get to a family member or friends? Some churches will give you gas money. Does your appartment know that he is responsible for the rent? Let them know how to contact him.
