We got there right before 9PM and left at 5AM. And the gurney sucks as a bed.

I threw up bile while we were waiting for 4 hours. That was nice. And they were very full, so I got to sit on a gurney in the hallway! It wasn't too bad, though. One guy we got friendly with had a room (he had a badly infected finger that needed lancing) and at one point I went to the restroom and happened to see him & his mom on my way back to my hallway. They asked where I was and I told them, "Down the hall, IN the hall!" They were surprised that I didn't get a room and I just joked, "Well, they gave it to a guy w/ a FINGER issue!" Joking w/ ppl got my mind off the sick feeling. (And honestly, if he's getting his finger lanced they definitely need to give him the room.)

I got 2 bags of fluids, the first w/ a dose of Zofran (IV) which only slightly curbed the nausea (last time it was 1 bag and a dose of zofran and I was fine!), then the 2nd w/ a dose of reglan which had me wanting to come OUT OF MY SKIN, it was AWFUL. I was freaking out! I woke up dh (poor guy slept sitting in a chair!) and told him, "I gotta go! I gotta get outta here! I can't take this! I gotta go!" He went and got the nurse who had a needle in hand and was very intent on using it. l She put a dose of benadryl in the drip for me to help me sleep, she said, and she added that I was feeling that way because of the reglan. Then I went to the restroom and by the time I came out I was calm. And REALLY drowsy. The doctor was funny, too. At the end of the night she said, "I guess Reglan isn't good for you." Um, I guess not. And now we know what I *can't* have. lol! I kept looking at my tubes and thinking, "How can I get that out?! I gotta get it out. I gotta go!" It was nutty. I felt like this guy.

She gave me scripts for phenergan and the hospital can help me get on medicaid (which I did not know before!) so I'll be calling them on Monday to set that up.

Anyway, aside from freaking out from the reglan, and the very long wait it wasn't too bad. The staff was VERY nice and informative, which I really appreciated, and we got to meet cool ppl while we waited. lol!

And the BEST PART is that I got to hear my baby's heartbeat!!!! For the first time!! We couldn't hear it at 11 wks because of the retroverted uterus. 140 bpm.

I have to find the funny in things otherwise it'll just get me down. Alot of ppl don't realize how I truly feel because I laugh alot and have a caustic sense of humor. I think my boss doesn't realize it, either. Oh well. Their loss.
