Ergo tips?

I got my ergo yesterday, FINALLY, and wow, what a 100% improvement over the sling I had been using! I actually have both hands free and babe doesn't feel like she's unstable or dangling. And it's definitely easier on the back. However, she *is* pretty heavy (14 lbs already) and after walking a while my back started to get really tired. I am wondering if I don't have it adjusted properly? I tried to make sure that the belt was really down around my hips, and not my lower back, but it seemed to ride up.

Any tips for making sure the ergo stays...ergonomic?

I find that the waist strap fits best on my waist. It's right above my hip bones and it feels pretty good to me. I'll only loosen it up for nursing at which point it's about halfway down my booty.

HTH!

I also wear mine right one my hips. I make sure it is really tight, that has worked best for me. You might want to tighten it up little. I love my ergo for long walks, it is the best...

I am just starting to use mine too.....LOVE it!

Anyways, I am long wasted/long torso and have found I have to wear it slightly higher than my natural waste.

Remember too...your *natural* waste is about 2 inches above your belly button. We all wear our pants so low, we can't remember our waste are anymore.

My ds is 21# and he feels like a feather in the Ergo!!!
