I for one am VERY glad to learn that Ameda BF supplies will no longer be made by Hollister. Hollister makes circumcision clamps (or some such awful thing), doesn't it?

Though Hollister does make circumcision supplies, I do like the companies urological and ostomy lines. I use their Female Urinary Pouch over my cathing stoma at night and their New Image ostomy supplies everyday. There ostomy products are the ONLY ones I've tried that don't leak or cause skin irritation.<br><br>
It is nice to see that Evenflo is complying with the WHO code. Now, if we could only get all the other bottle manufacturers to do the same.<br><br>

This is so true, especially after gerber sold out to Nestle!

That's great. I love their hygenic pump horns that are seperated from the pump lines so you can use second hand pumps.

So much for finding organic baby and toddler foods in the store without going to Walmart... (Which has it's own issues.) <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banghead.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banghead"><br><br>

I hope they don't start screwing around with Ameda's pumps and making them as bad as the "Evilflo" ones.

After years of hearing how awful Evenflo's pumps are, I will withhold my applause for now.

I know that I should be celebrating, but I'm not. The infant formula companies in my country say they fully abide by the Code, but they just don't. They get away with whatever they can get away with. The same companies...exactly the same ones, because they are multinational, are doing terrible things in the developing world.<br><br>
Companies avoid regulation by playing lip-service to regulatory codes, not be following them to the letter of the law.<br>
I hope this company means it, I really do, but I just have my doubts.

I doubt this would happen, Ameda has its own engineers to design the pumps, so now if anything the Evenflo pumps will be improved upon. That would be crazy for them to change such a good thing!

I had no idea how all these companies were related. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

I for one will be calling and sending a letter telling Evenflo how thrilled I am about the WHO compliance and how I hope they don;t change the Ameda pumps and how I will now go out of my way to buy their products and recommend them to friends.
