Oh, boy. Dh had his first 'real' paycheck of the year. A full week! I paid all the bills, threw extra into the groceries, bought extra large sizes of shampoo, etc. Mailed the bills, very efficient. Put gas in my car. I follow a strict budget most weeks, and it's always running close.

Ah, then I counted what was left....WHAT was I thinking??? There's not enough left to get through sending dh to work, paying for school lunches, etc!

Oh, dang, now what?

NOt with paying bills, a chore which i could not be persuaded to do unless my life were at stake, but with paying for stuff with Paypal. Many embarrassing times, my friend. Can you make the kid's lunches this week, with all your yummy groceries? What exactly does 'getting dh to work' entail? Any corners that can be cut with this? Any piles of spare change lying around that can be used? Allowances not given this week?

Yeah, that happened this week... only 10 more days until we get paid again. I guess I should find a street corner... Just kidding... or sell my kids? Anyone? They're cute... really.

We'll get paid again next tuesday. "Going to work" entails driving 100 miles each way...think $2.08 for gas. Dh always brings his lunch, thankfully. Kiddos have to be driven to school, 18 miles there, and then home . They can take the school bus most of the way home.

NO ONE, says my teen daughters, brings lunch! How uncool. But it's ok, we get free lunch for a few more weeks. They like to have an extra dollar each though, to buy juice. Milk allergic, every one, and the school gives a tiny cup of juice if you don't get milk. They can take juice boxes though.

Allowances? Huh, that's been the dollar they take to school!

I mailed everything! Last week we were so broke I rolled every bit of change. Dh was unemployed all winter, so this was our first decent check in 6 months!

Funny, I have plenty of money in my Paypal account! But it would take til next week to get it anyway. And I need to order more Keepers, so i'ts 'business money'.

I'm off to search under the couch, in the back of dh's bureau drawers, behind the clothes hamper, etc, for spare change.

Atleast we'll eat.

I just wanted sympathy. Thanks!
