This is my first cycle charting and I am having a similar situation although I haven't done OPK's, my temp shift (and/or lack thereof) did not correspond with my EWCM. This is what I have found from the obsessive research I have done lately.
-EWCM can be a sign that you are about to ovulate, and it actually occurs
-EWCM can be a sign that your body is gearing up to ovulate but then does not ovulate for whatever reason
-EWCM can also be a sign of overproduction of estrogen and no ovulation may occur
It's a crap shoot as far as I can tell--the only way to 100% confirm ovulation is probably temperature shift, but some women don't have the temp shift--in which case they would confirm ovulation via BFP.
Like, if you have a temp shift you have definitely ovulated, if you have EWCM but no temp shift you may have ovulated (but not likely).
