How's everyone doing?

I didn't exercise AT ALL last week. I blamed it on feeling like a slug and the holidays. Today I got back on track and ran 4.2 miles at about 8:45 pace. It was slower than my typical pace, but it felt AWESOME. I actually feel more energetic right now than I have in almost 2 weeks.

I'm 5w1d today, and I'm guessing it's going to start getting harder to stay motivated.

How have you ladies stayed motivated? Any tips?

Hi! I wasn't on your original thread, but I want to work on exercising too. I really don't do much, but have started Zumba DVDs and have really enjoyed it every time. I just don't do it often enough because I am SO tired all the time!!! At 9 weeks now, I think I'm in the thick of the pregnancy fatigue. I remember last time "waking up" around about 13 or 14 weeks and not feeling so drained. That's great that you're keeping up on your running!

i have not been exercising. i have a subchorionic hematoma which is causing spotting and everything i have read is completely mixed about safety of exercise. but every time i do much the spotting starts up again so i am afraid to do any exercise and it i really miss exercise. normally exercise is something i do more to help battle depression than for any of the other benefits and lack of exercise is very noticeable. i did play wii fit for about 5 minutes today but later the spotting started again. no way to know if that was the cause or not.

mama_daba, yeah, I think I'd hold off too if exercise made me spot more. I also love exercise mostly for the effect it has on my mood. I enjoy the physical benefits, but I really really really just FEEL better mentally when I exercise.

azzeps, I think 9 weeks really is "the thick of it". Any exercise you do now is awesome!

I haven't been doing so well with getting my exercise. It's been almost three weeks since I was at the gym. I started spotting that day and found out there is a bleed by the baby, so have stopped working out since then. I'm 10 weeks now and am hoping to get back to it when the second trimester starts.

mama_daba - I think you should hold off if it's causing spotting, what does your care provider say?

Glad I'm not the only one.... maybe we can all do some gentle stretching or something? Tailor sitting? Cat/cow pose? That's about all I'm good for at the moment!!!

I've been lacking on exercise too. I walk the dog once a day but that's about all I feel like doing right now. I did pull out my pre-natal yoga dvd last night (then sat down and got sucked into doing stuff online instead).

My husband signed me up for his gym last night, he gets a huge discount through his work and I need a regularly scheduled class type regimen to get me started (due to lack of motivation/energy). I'm hoping to do some yoga and cardio there. Unfortunately, they have no pool which is my fav. way to exercise. I'm 7 weeks now.
