Hi all,

I'm in the 6th week of my first pregnancy, and want to get as fit as possible to prepare for that distant finish line in the form of labor.

I have been more active in the past, but had fallen off the wagon from all the holiday activities. I would describe myself as now moderately fit, in that I do exercise sporadically.

I like to walk by our home, and can access a pool if I ever get the motivation. But with the nausea, I don't feel like swimming is the best option for me right now.

Do you have favorite exercise DVD's? I want something for the house so that when the weather is bad or cold, I don't have an excuse to not exercise. I'd love to hear your favorites!

Thanks,

No suggestions for you here, but someone in the same boat hoping others will give us some ideas.

I LOVE Bryan Kest's "Power Yoga"
It feels like you had an awesome massage where you're sore yet relaxed after the workout.
But I think this is more for post baby mamas and after some easing into from gentler forms of Yoga.

It's corny but Turbo Jam dvd's are fun too if you're into kickboxing.

Public libraries usually carry good amount of Yoga DVD's. I'd go and check them out and try it first. What you might like may not be exactly the same as another preggie mama.

Hope that helps.
