Just wondering if any of you wise mama's know about working out being linked to mastitis. A lactation consultant told me that I may get mastitis if I do an up coming bike ride. The ride is 3 days and goes through 3 mtn passes. We ride 60ish miles per day, 7am-3pm, I plan on pumping 2X during the ride.... and bfing before and after with my babe. my babe will be in the sag-wagon at the end of the ride each day and with me each night and morning. any thoughts??? I've had mastitis twice and do not wish it upon my worst enemy.

Hmmm maybe because you probably wouldn't be drinking as much water as you normally would be? Hmm, I'm really not sure since you'll be pumping twice in 8 hours.
