Hi!
Is anyone else experiencing extreme upper back and rib pain?? Its on the right side right below my shoulder blade and wraps all the way around to my rib. Its starting to keep me up at night!
Anyone know of any remedies for this or is it one of those things that will just be until my little one is born?

Me, sort of... but more like someone is stabbing a stake through my chest. It is a pain that I recall having as a teenager, at the time I thought it was a hernia, but was never checked out or, therefore, diagnosed. It eventually went away on its own and has been gone for 10+ years... now it's back. I get relief from lying flat on my back and breathing deeply. It is only temporary though, as it is then back again the next day or a few days later. Not sure if it's the same as what you are experiencing or not, but you can give that a try! good luck, it sucks, I know.

My OB said tylenol and heat. Swimming is awesome, too.

Sounds like it may be your gallbladder. Very common in pregnant women. I had mine removed a couple of years ago. It hurt the entire way through my chest to my back. Try limiting fat, it can help. They can do a ultrasound to see if you have stones. I had attacks off and on for years and was misdiagnosed with GERD once.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it's not my gall bladder. It's a very distinctive pain that I recognize from when I was a teen and it went on for years. The pain is too high up to be my gall bladder and I don't have any intolerance to (or a diet high in) fatty foods. And the fact that it goes away when I lay on my back.... it's just odd.
