When did your child's eyes change color? Our daughter is just over 5mos and she still has blue-grey eyes. Will they remain this color if they haven't changed by 6mos?

Thanks! Cee

My DD is 3 months old now and her eye color was blue-gray to start and has gradually lost the gray so that they are a clear blue. I asked her ped. if he thought they would stay blue and he thinks they will. They are much to light to change drastically at this point. I would say from personal experience, having two LO's with blue eyes that your baby will have a permanent lighter eye color.

I was 5yo when my blue eyes and blond hair finally switched to a green-brown hazel and medium-to-dark brown hair respectively.

My son is 2y7m now and I think his eyes just recently have finally finished their transition from a dark blue-grey to brown. My daughter switched faster, I think by a year or a year and a half, her eyes were completely brown.

I was wondering this! DH and I both have darker hazel eyes and DD has bright blue! I thought it was sort of strange genetically, but DH's family has mostly blue eyes so I thought it could be a throwback - it's good to know she still has time to change to green!

My daughter was born with brown eyes. At 3mo her eyes are the same color they were when she was born. I was shocked! I thought all babies were born with blue eyes. (My family all has blue eyes, Dad is Sicilian and was also born with brown eyes)

My eyes were very light grey-blue until I reached puberty, wherein they changed to blue-green.

DS had bright blue eyes until around his first birthday when they gradually began to change to hazel, He also had red hair that gradually changed to blonde. DD was born with white blonde hair and blue eyes and at 16 months both are the same.
