You can still get them checked but you have to tell the person doing the exam you are nursing so that they can adjust things.
I go every 2 years to make sure my prescription is the same and the last time I went I was pregnant so the very small difference from the previous year the doc discounted and just told me to have them rechecked when she was a year old to see if it was a permanent change.
