The price tag and the look are just perfect! I've seen some kitchen posts here recently and thought I'd share... what DIY kitchens have you seen that you love?

Awesome! I bookmarked that. We are so doing that when I get around to getting a play kitchen for DS. Maybe Christmas.

Standard DIY sink installation seems to consist of cutting a hole and placing a stainless steel bowl in it, knobs/faucet either recycled or buy the cheapest at DIY store.

I've been eyeing this for awhile: <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_list_1&listing_id=15574528" target="_blank">http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=15574528</a><br><br>
I seeing a kitchen out of boxes and the knobs were made out of 2 buttons, an empty thread spool, and heavy twine. A small hole was punched in the box where the knob was to be located. On the top side they placed the spool with a button on top and on the under side there was a button. Then they threaded the twine up through the bottom button, the box hole, the spool, and the top button then back down again and tied the twine together. It worked really well.

Well, mine wasn't cheap but we wanted it to be a family heirloom.<br><br>
Oak cabinets from Lowe's:<br><br><a href="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g209/sobittybabies/101_2819.jpg" target="_blank">http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/101_2819.jpg</a><br><a href="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g209/sobittybabies/101_2822.jpg" target="_blank">http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...s/101_2822.jpg</a><br><br>
It's got a stainless steel bowl for the sink, stainless steel drawer pulls (that turn) for the oven knobs, stainless steel hardware and a stainless steel contact paper insert in the oven panel. Inside is a stainless steel cooling rack for the oven rack. The faucet is a stainless steel robe hook, of all things.<br><br>
The kids ADORE it.<br><br>
When they grow up a bit more, DH is going to raise it up 3-4 inches on a little platform.
