Is anyone interested in starting a facebook group?

I understand the appeal of facebook, but I find that often times when a group moves to facebook, it pretty much shuts down any activity on here at Mothering. However, after the babes are born, I think it would be a great way to share pictures and keep in touch.

What are others' opinions?

I thought about that, too. I, for one, would definitely come back to MDC with questions because I usually want a bigger pool of answers whereas the DDC is more of sharing experiences along the way as we're so close in pregnancy stages. And I am someone who frequents MDC for a lot of other things beyond pregnancy. I can see others who only use MDC for the DDC not coming back in here, though. That makes sense.

I'm in for the Facebook thing. Like Dot to Dot, I come to mothering when I have questions, whereas I share my life on Facebook (well, in moderation).

My due date club from my last pregnancy didn't move to FB until we could no longer be on the site that we were on. I think waiting until after would be good, but I am game for either way.

I agree with waiting too. I can't be active in Facebook as I think it is too personal for sharing such intimate information with strangers. I hated how on my last DDC we could never get anyone to chat because they were all on the FB group.

I don't really want my IRL identity to be connected to my identity here, so I would prefer to wait until this group is no longer active.

I think a Facebook group would be an awesome way to keep in touch and share pics of the babies once the DDC dies down and we've all given birth. But I'm cool with whatever!
