good gravy i'm ready for the looney bin! :

My 2.5 year old little darling has taken to fake crying LOUDLY, as in yelling his head off. For silly, small reasons. "Waaaaahhh-HAAAAAAH-HAAAAAAAAH. I'M VERY SAD. WWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH". And if he wants my attention he'll suddenly scream very obnoxiously, "MUMMY!" or "LOOK AT ME!" at top volume. Not when I've taken too long to respond, mind you. Just all the time. And sometimes he'll follow it with, "mummy, you scream!" like it's a game. To which I respond, "No, B. We yell outside but we have to talk softly indoors (/in the car/in the store/etc)".

I'm befuddled. And embarassed. And have a headache. It's been a few days and I'm not sure the right way to respond/not respond so this wont be a long term phase. It's really driving me cuckoo.

Any thoughts?
