Thursday morning around 2am, I woke up with bad lower back pain. I thought it was just from sleeping in the wrong position so I got on the sofa. That didn't help and I didn't think anything of it. All day yesterday I had the same pains at work and didn't think anything of it. Walking around seemed to help but every now and then I would get hit with a pain that would make me stop. My mom called that afternoon and I was describing the pain to her. Kendall had moved into a knot and was poking out the front of my stomach. She said it sounded like lower back pain and false labor and that I should call the doc.

I stayed on the phone with a nurse for about 20 minutes and had 2 more contractions. They told me to come in and hooked me up to a monitor. Turns out I was having real contractions! They gave me a shot of something to stop them and monitored me for another half hour. The contractions stopped but I was bit out of it for the rest of the day. Poor K. I called him when I got on the phone with the nurse and he was a bit bugged out because he thought it was time. I did too but I knew it couldn't have been. He insisted on coming over last night and stayed with me but I woke up with contractions this morning again. Nothing too bad but managable.

Reality certainly hit me yesterday that the time is emminent because that was the real deal. I'm a little freaked and afraid but if it's time, I can't stop it. Perhaps this will motivate him to order the furniture and get things cracking. My plan is to wait until next weekend and do my grocery shopping but I'm certainly going to pick up the other things I need in the meantime.

Wow, that would be a scare! I'm glad they settled down & hope they stay that way.

Honestly, if this doesn't get your dp motivated to order furniture TODAY, I don't know what will. How frustrating!!!

Thanks everyone for your concern. About 11:45 last night i woke up with stomach cramps. I thought it was from the chicken Iate earlier. The pains kept coming every 7 minutes and finally i realized they were real contractions! I got on my birth ball and rocked but the pain was something serious. Finally I got on all fours, leaning over the bed and breathed through thepain. DP rubbed my back and gave me water but let me tell you, that pain will bring you to your knees. This lasted for an hour and finally we both went to sleep.

I'll be 35 weeks on Tuesdday and I pray this baby stays until 37. Send sticky baby vibes this way.

Had a few more contractions today (one at 1:30 am , another at 3:04 am, 9:56 am, and 1:22 pm). I've been timing them and as you can see, no pattern. Just really difficult braxton hicks. I'm trying to hang in there but these things will make you want this pregnancy over with right now.
