I hope it is OK for me to jump tribal areas. We are vacationing in the N Conway region this summer. I love NH and I have done lots of hiking there, but never with kids. I have a 6, 5, and 2 year old. They have done a bit of hiking and love it Can anyone point out some safe, doable hikes for my family?

It's a bit of a drive up, but the Wilderness Trail is level, trailhead right off the road, very pretty. A loop, I think, but of course you can just head out and turn back when your group is ready.

Also try the travel section of your library. There are a couple of nice, general New-England-Hikes-With-Children books that can give you some more ideas . . . or even a few pages of a NH tour book.

Enjoy your trip!
