Farm Holidays?

Can any Welsh mamas tell me how Farm Holidays work? We're eventually wanted to stay for about 6 months in Wales, but prior to that we want to go for about 2 weeks or so just to check things out. The Farm Holiday option on the visitwales site looked very intriguing, and I've sent off for a brochure, but until then was wondering if anyone could give me the inside scoop? Are meals included? Do they take families or just singles? Do you work on the farm? TIA!
