Hey everyone. This is my husband's first Father's Day as a dad, and I'm looking for idea's of what to do for him. DD is only 6 months old, so I wanted to do something nice. Thanks in advance!

I'm getting my fiance (my son's dad) and my daughter's dad the same thing--a gift certificate to a flight school flying lesson :LOL They're going together, and it should be something they'll both enjoy.
We are all also going to brunch together that morning.

It's our first father's day, too.

I'm planning an extravagant meal (still planning!)- mexican style, as my husband loves good fresh mexican food.

I think I'll look for a great book for him to read to Ella. Not sure what else to do. He doesn't need any 'stuff,' but I'd like to incorporate more traditions. I'd love to hear others' ideas.

oh they will. they will. but just how will they each come down?

DH has been a pilot since 17 and in high school he'd take friends flying. If the friend was a girl, he would climb up to whatever altitude they were flying at and jokingly say, "Put out or get out."

oh....and to stay on topic -- I have no clue what I'll be doing for Father's Day. Maybe what DH did for Mother's Day - nothing.

ooh, I am just working on this now, ds is 5 mos old, so this is dh 1st FD, also!

: I am looking thru my digital camera right now to find pics to make him a mini-album, I am going to scrapbook pics of him with the baby - birth day, day after, 1 mo, 2 mos, and so on. I of course don't have pics for mos 6-12 yet, but I will make it a daddy's first year album so we can just insert a good pic for the the rest of the months to come. I hope he likes it!

I hope to make dh a cake, (chocolate w/ fresh choc. dipped strawberries on top--his FAVorite.

) and frame a nice b&w picture of ds and I to put on his desk at work. I will also help ds scribble on a 'card' to put next to the cake.

for dp's first fathers day we're going to a baseball game, but it's totally by chance. a friend had some tickets he can't use. it's making me look really good without having a plan much.
