My nephew is turning one next month, and I'd like to get him some books for his bday. I know about all the usual books, the classics, but I'm looking for some fun books that he won't have already. Any ideas?? What are your kids favorite books?

I highly recommend the "That's Not My..." series! We received That's Not My Dinosaur as a gift for ds's first birthday and now we have a bunch of them...Puppy, Truck, etc. -- You can find them on Amazon. They are nice sturdy board books with a different texture on each page, just right for little hands to feel. I give them as gifts all the time.

Another favorite of ours is Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh. It shows how different colors mix together (e.g. red and yellow make orange) with some cute mice. My son loved that one for a very long time!
