I'm amazed at how many people are posting their births on YouTube these days...even just a few years ago when my daughter was born I didn't even think to look online for inspiring birth videos.

I thought it would be cool to have a thread where people can post favorites they come across, ones that are good for kids to watch, ones that are specifically helpful to partners, etc.

I saw this one a couple months ago, and loved the way the whole family was involved--the first scene with the daughter rubbing her mother's shoulders is so sweet.

Let's try this again, and see if I have better luck with this reply. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3WA9iHz5ww I'm a singer so I like this. Don't know if I would sing this again (I'm picky about music I guess!). But I bet some people will like this. I've never forgotten it. Those are the two most memorable videos i've seen, besides the famous "Birth in the Squatting position" which I don't think you can get anymore.

I really miss the "Birth of Jude Roman Fairbanks" flash video that was up, circa early 2000's or late 90's. :( The owners took it down after it got a LOT of views and became very popular. It was just beautiful. I cried every time... and I STILL tear up every time I hear the song "Do you realize?" as a result of that slideshow.

I don't have any birth videos up, but I do have two photo series from some births I photographed. Both were peaceful, fast, safe, homebirths.

Those curious can see one here: mom having her 4th child, a singleton after triplets.

and here: mom having her second child, a nearly 11-lb baby boy.

They're posted on my personal blog.

Edit: Wait, I just realize we're posting other people's stuff, not our own! D'oh.

In that case I should share this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUsqeZhlbKk

It's a baby born underwater with the caul in tact! Amazing.

DDCC from July. I have to share this one. My son was born breech, quickly and easily at home. I watched this video in the last weeks of my pregnancy to get inspired and give myself confidence.
