When I was pregnant the 2nd time, there was a great show on Discovery Health that had birth center births that dd & I watched & I felt was good prep for her, in addition to the books & talking we did. The show has long been canceled.

I would like to show some videos to dd & ds to help prepare them. I don't know if either or both of them will be there but I want to prepare them as much as possible.

What online videos do you like? Have you found any at your local library that perhaps mine would have?

TIA,
Sus

Go on youtube. You can find anything from homebirths in the family hot-tub to a 3 part video of a woman getting a c-section. Look for "natural birth," "waterbirth," "hospital birth," or whatever you want them to see. How graphic/educational/realistic/natural do you want it to be? Maybe a local CBE or even a progressive hospital-based maternity center would have some good videos that you could borrow.

I think this is an inspirational video for moms, but frankly boring for a 6 year old to watch. I also like this one with a young mom and her very earnest partner.
