Buffalo Exchange is fun though not really a thrift store.

As a teenager- I LOVED Wasteland on Haight. Is it still there? The was also one called Aardvark.

Yes it is still there, but I have never gone in. Is it more a vintage clothing place or a thrift store?

Well, no, I guess it's not a thrift store- nothing truly thifty. I just got all sentimental and posted without thinking!

Thriftown on Mission and 17th is the greatest. They have two floors of stuff and it's very well organized. I have bought lots of baby and kid stuff there as well as maternity clothes (and some awesome handbags).

Community Thrift is also good (on Valencia and 18th). Their proceeds are donated to local non-profits, but they have very little kid stuff.
