so we've been using FB for the last 4 months and i'm about fed up w/ the leaks. we're using Lg and she weights about 25 lbs so we're on the edge of the suggested weight criteria. i kept thinking as she got a little bigger they would start to fit better but it's getting worse!

has anyone else noticed FB just not fit there baby correctly? I think my plan of action is going to be to see if the Med FB fit better then if that doesn't work i'll try another pocket... any suggestions?

thanks in advance mamas!

I *love* our FB but our dd is 27 lbs and we started with larges and had to move down to mediums to prevent leaks. We still use a well-stuffed large at night, but have to overlap the waist row of snaps to keep them on well.

I'd say definitely try going down to a medium, after doing what the pp suggested and actually measuring your dd rather than going just by weight.

I agree, measure her and see.

My 24 pound 10 1/2 month old wears a medium or a large in Fuzzi Bunz and I've never had them leak. Could it possibly be you detergent causing a problem with the fleece repelling? Or the leg casings not rolling out right?

I'd test to see if you have repelling issues by sprinkling some water in one of the FBs and seeing if it beads up or soaks in immediately. I initially loved my FBs but ended up having to get rid of them and switch over to a new diapering system entirely because of repelling issues that could not be resolved. Despite corresponding with the company and trying every suggestion that they (and the moms here, of course) could come up with, repeatedly, I had to give up on it. Nothing worked. If you're having repelling issues, you may have better luck resolving them than I did, but you'll want to find out if that is indeed what is going on.

What are you stuffing with? I found that my daughter turned into a super soaker and I had to start doubling up on my stuffing. My fave is a jamtots hemp trifold wrapped in a mf towel.

You asked for other pocket suggestions-I really like Green Acre Designs.

thanks for all the help. i'll measure her tomorrow and see what i come up with. i did just pour some water on one to see if it repelled or soaked and it absorbed really quickly. i've only been using "All Free & Clear" on them.

i'm stuffing with the regular mico-terry things that came with them from www.fuzzibunzstore.com. if the measuring says she should be fitting into them then maybe i will just try a new stuffer...that could be it. thanks!

I never could get mine to not leak. I ended up getting rid of them and getting HH's instead. They work like a charm and we are firmly in 'no-leak' land now.
