I don't see one, so I'll go ahead and start it. And I have to put a party face by it for my four-year-old.

We're back from our long, long trip visiting relatives. DS1 was gone almost the whole month of June, and only saw his dad once in the middle. Poor thing, he had lots of fun (and learned to swim!) but he got pretty homesick by the end. Thank goodness he's such a good traveler. It was way too much driving for a now-four-month-old (and for me!), but he did really well too. They are both so good I feel like I ask more of them than I should, because they usually can handle it. We did cloth diapers the whole trip! I was afraid it wouldn't go so well, but it wasn't a problem. My mom occasionally will put him in a disposable if I'm not around, because she bought some and feels like she needs to use them (sigh), but other than that it was all cloth.

My mom also influenced me to introduce the baby to water. I know they get plenty of fluids from breastmilk, but it was so hot (and I've been using up all my self-control not giving him food off my plate that he wants) that we gave him some. Now he gets super excited whenever he sees a cup or water bottle. I don't give him much, but it's a helpful tool to keep him happy in the car.

So glad to be home! Now we have to figure out our schedule again.
