I'm in the process of creating a breastfeeding advocacy website. It's nowhere near completion, but I wanted to share, and see what you think. (Incidentally, if some of you remember the horrible Walmart incident that I had, some of those "offensive" photos I was having printed were specifically for review to see which I wanted to include on this website.)
I happen to live in a state (Kentucky) that does not specifically have laws protecting breastfeeding mothers and children. A couple of bills have been introduced in our legislature, but have failed to become law.
I originally started this website to share information with a group of local breastfeeding mommies that meet a couple times every month.
Then I wanted to expand and eventually use it as a place to encourage people to contact their congresspeople and ask for more pro-breastfeeding legislature.
What should I change?
What should I add?
What do you think?
Remember, this website is NOT completed. In fact, it's far from it. I know I have alot of text to add, as well as other topics, photos, etc. I know I'm going to add an extended breastfeeding section, but I haven't had time yet. What other categories? Or do you have any good links?
Just wanting to pick the minds of the wonderful breastfeeding mamas here at MDC!
I'm also in KY and I appreciate the legal info you provide. BTW, don't know where you are in KY but we're having a little demonstration/Nurse In here in Louisville tomorrow in conjunction with the big one in NYC in response to the negative comments on the View.
Keep up the good work with your site! I'll check it out again soon to see your progress. Got it bookmarked and I'll pass it on to my friends.
