i just bought 5 kushies for dd1, which i love by the way no leaks, and i only have 5 plus 2 pf which she hates, and i have to waSH every night. not to mention i'm washing wed and sat for dd2, i dont mind washing a full load twiche a week but 5 dipes every night seems so wastefulll of water, and i know my washer is going to die. even when i set it on extra small it's half full. i just bought 2 more diapers but i dont know when i'll have enough moneuy to have enough to go every 3 days. i guess i'm just venting. i hope i can hold out longe enough to not go and buy more sposies. the local cd store sometimes has good deals on used but she's not answering her phone lately

on a side note. last night i used baking soda and vinegar only to wash and they are super clean and not smelly!

I used to wash everyday, too. It does feel like a lot, doesn't it. Could you throw them in with your bath towels/socks/underwear once or twice a week? Then, at least you're not doing an extra load.

So, if you throw them in with DD2's twice a week, wash with a load of towels once a week, and wash with a load of socks/underwear/etc once a week, then you would only have to wash DD1's diapers by themselves 3 times a week.

Hope you can get more diapers soon!

you can wash diapers with other stuff? i dont wash socks and underwear separate. i wash all whites, and all colors, and i wash towels with clothes. i'll figure it out. dh says we need to replace our washer anyway. maybe i'll just use this one for diapers, if only i could reuse and recycle water lol

Yes, I do it from time to time, and I've never had a problem.

I wash towels separate because the fabric softener makes them less absorbent, like CDs. Just be sure not to use fabric softener if you wash your dipes with other laundry.
