We are supposed to leave for the hospital tomorrow. The plan is to drive 4 hours to grandma's stay the night then drive the last 2.5 hours to San Diego in the morning. I just called grandma and there was a screw up and she doesn't have her pain meds and is not feeling well and I really dont want to take a 3 yr old to bugg her when she's not well which would mean leaving Monday and doing the entire 6 hours and praying we get to the appt on time and I dont even know where the heck were going becasuse of such poor communictaion by the hospital. (we got a call yesterday to confirm our EGD & Colonosopy Wednesday and it was the first i'd even heard about it! We requested it be scheduled while there so we were not making mutiple trips) Then we have our next problem, I still dont know WHERE we are staying the 4 days we will be down there. I've looked online and its all way out of our price range $70+ night so I got one of those coupon books from Dennys and there are some good deals but I have no clue what the neighborhood is like and I refuse to stay in a hobble.
Well, at least I got a hotel! The rooms look nice and they meet our needs (has kitchenette fridge/micro) and I got it for $40 night which is much more reasonable. I had to laugh, they thought a 20 min drive to the hospital was "really far away!" So thats one less stress, now I hope the area is decent! Now to get everything else done, argh! I knew I was forgetting something, car needs an oil change!
