We have a thread going on our May board for a very few of us feeling this way.

I am actually starting to worry myself unneccessarily that I am due on Saturday and generally not at all uncomfortable. So, please give me some anecodotal experiences in your practices that will tell me that it is OK to feel good when even when you are 9 months pregnant.

I have a smaller baby in there this time, so that is part of what feels differnet than last pregnancy I am sure. But her? head is engaged nicely-midwife can feel it RIGHT there....losing nice mucous globs the last few days. Nice Braxton Hicks.

Overall, I think I am just very healthy...I eat really really well for the most part with the occassional cheat treat. Usually only organic. I am long and lean...I had a fairly easy labor with my first (8 hours Bradley) I walk regulalry. I have low blood pressure...etc.

Why do I feel so worried then? Why do I want to try lots of sex or walk a few miles this morning just so I can be uncomfortable? Why am I comparing myself all of a sudden to women in our society who arn't healthy during pregnancy?

ARG! Wow, what an issue we as a society have created for pregnant women!

I say - enjoy yourself. Make plans past your due date to enjoy a movie, lunch date, pedicure, massage, etc. - something every day to look forward to.

Instead of expecting the worst, bask in the joy that you are feeling so great!

If it makes you feel any better, I recently had a client that felt absolutely fabulous right up until the hour before she delivered. She felt so great that she didn't even know she was in labor.
It does happen!! Enjoy yourself!!

I felt great when I was pregnant. The whole time. And that was better than a week into August, in Houston (at over 40 weeks...)
