So the last couple of days I've been feeling just blech -- almost but not quite nauseas, kind of tired but not totally sleepy, either hungry or not really wanting to eat at all... It's not the intensity of morning sickness, and I don't feel ill, but I'm certainly not radiant and energetic, either! I can't seem to figure out the variable; it doesn't really matter how much I sleep, if I nap, what I eat, etc. I still just feel kind of yuck for several hours a day.

Is anyone else feeling this? Has anyone read about this being a late-pregnancy thing?

Just wanted to send you hugs. Things are fine here with me other than I can't sleep real well, an overactive bladder and starting to get menstrual like cramps. But I am only 34 weeks and have been taking it real easy. I still have energy and never had nasuea though.

BeTheEarth, I feel the same way. nothing is satisfying to me--no food is great, nor is it terrible, sleep is enticing yet not always possible, and I feel queasy sometimes-last night and this morning especially. I rather hope it is my body's way of preparing me somehow for labor. I am 36 and a half weeks now and don't want to go early but if that is the case then we will cope with it. I hope for both our sakes we feel better again though. Feeling worn out before the labor starts is not ideal!

my midwife has me taking some liquid chorophyll to up my iron--it tastes horrible, but I hope it helps. If i could I would share with you--there is no way i will finish the huge bottle I have!

Definitely feeling blah! But I can feel that I've been fighting a cold for some days now. I'm just ready for this to be done, and I've got like 6 weeks left! I think I would be a lot more patient if my hips weren't constantly aching and I wasn't feeling like I was about to get a cold every couple of days!

I feel exactly like you guys have described too. I think it's due to our crazy hormones getting ready for birth, just like our crazy hormones were making us feel yucky in our 1st trimester, getting us ready for pregnancy. I've been told it's normal to feel yucky & tired again at the end. My appetite sucks, my heartburn sucks, & I have nausea here & there frequently. Blah. At least my belly looks pretty cute!

Yeah, specifically for me it is being hungry all the time and not having the energy or just not wanting to deal with eating. I am usually a light eater and it is so annoying to eat as much as I can at lunch and be starving 2 hours later, like I haven't eaten all day, also waking up starving is so annoying. If I don't eat enough protein I get naseous. I was so ready for this to be over but at a LLL meeting the women said they were just as hungry during breastfeeding -- what a pain!

Me me me!

Since Sam was born before 36 weeks, I had no idea just how uncofortable and yucky the last month of pregnancy could be! The thought that this coul dbe going on for another 7 weeks is unbearable. Last night I was so crampy that I was worried for a while, but when I laid down they went away. I'm achy, I'm in a bad mood, I'm sick of people asking me to please not deliver the baby in the middle of the deli or wherever I am, I'm grossed out by food but need to eat, I feel sick a lot of the time, and all I really want to do is sleep but I can't because I have to wake up and pee or I'm in too much pain in my hips. I'm seeing my chiro next week so that should help a little, but what else can I do???

I tried to check my cervix last night but I coulnd't find it, so it must be far back there and not doing much of anything...darn...

Me too. I've been blaming it on the full moon...I think it's pulling on the ocean in my belly.

2 crappy nights' sleep in a row, and I'm right there with you all. I feel queasy-ish in the mornings too. It goes away if I have protein for breakfast but the only thing I can stomach on that line is eggs, and since I've been awake for almost an hour at 4 am every night, I wake up late, and then I don't have time to cook an egg. Or I don't have time to take a shower. One of the two. My sympathies for my coworkers keep funnelling me into the shower though.

(and yeah, the sensible thing to do would be to put the egg on to cook and go have a shower, but that kind of organized thought first thing in the morning is not so possible.)

I'm not sure if it's my belly or just the fact that I'm probably already effacing and dilating (this being my third baby and all) I was so tempted to ask DP to check it for me :LOL but then I pictured his face and just couldn't do it. I'll have to ask my mw to check at my 36w appt next week.
36 weeks on Sunday. Hmph. Not nearly close enough yet. I want to be DONE.

Yep. All that. I'm having contractions every six minutes apart, they're not doing anything- I'm dilating a bit but nothing exciting, I hurt, can't walk, and I am completely totally and utterly fed up. So I'm going to have a bath, drink some cider, and then go to sleep and wake up at 3am ready to go through the same old same old tomorrow.

I understand about feeling queasy. I don't even have much of an appetite these days, and food isn't appealing to me. And then it's a vicious cycle, because if I don't eat as much as I should I feel dizzy and tired, and the fun goes on...
