Is trying all the newborn diapers on teddy bears? Ds refuses to play with dolls, so all I have are the bears! I haven't diapered a newborn before, and I just can't help myself.

The bear is right now wearing a loveybums fitted and fleece cover. Very trim if I must say, although a bit high in the rise for him!

I have also found Mr. Bear to be very accomodating while I practice my prefold pinning and snappi-ing.

im no longer preggo but i did try to teach dh on a stuffed animal how to change a baby!!

The only nb dipe that has made it on to a stuffed animal in our house was one that DS wanted to put on Ruh-ruh, his stuffed dog. But I will probably have to do the whole bear thing to teach DH once he gets home from his trip.

We practiced on LL Bear!

REally, before Paige arrived we practiced on LL Bear--DH had never changed a diaper before his sessions with LL Bear. Needless to say, he has come a long way!

I try them on the bear when they look off ,, I got my fmbg diaper in the mail and it looked WAY off so I tried it on the bear and sure anough the fit was wrong and it was all lopsided , the bear did go

Just for the record though terri was wonderful about it and replaced it right away

i couldnt find a brand new diaper once.....i looked everywhere. it was missing for over a month and I just gave up.
I found it the other day on a bunny rabbit that wears a dress. it was sitting on my enertainment center the whole time.
i forgot i tried it on her a couple of weeks before he was born.

Before dd was born, I remember pre-fitting her carseat straps with my 30-year-old Curious George, who I thought would be roughly new infant size!

Each time a new diaper arrives it gets tried on a teddy before it gets put away with the rest of the stash. Teddy looked really cute in the beccabottoms today, but the wool soaker I tried on him yesterday was a little big.

So, DH just PM'd me to say my giant Loveybums package has arrived today. I never even thought of using stuffed toys.

Well, Elmo is in for a surprise tonight. After DD goes to bed with him, I'm gonna kidnap him and force him to try on all the newborn diapers I've got. Woo-hoo!

I'm not pregnant...but I used to do that! I did it when I was ttc Alexander and making my own diapers! My daughter was helping me too - she would bring out different dolls and stuffed animals...my son thought we had lost it!

I had to stop doing it when DS #1 insisted on keeping the dipe for his kitty baby, I had to sneak it back in the middle of the night and hide it, lol!!

Actually when we got our sampler package in the mail a couple of months ago, DH reached for the doll to try out all the diapers. He said that he was trying to imagine changing diapers in the most stressful of situations (the middle of the night with a newborn crying and our 3-year-old demanding his attention too) to figure out which system he liked best.

After all the diapering he did that night, he requested a blanket to practice the "baby burrito" (swaddling) and then he showed Alex how to hold the baby. I'm so in
