Hi, does anyone know what these small vertical lines indicate at the bottom of the fetal heart rate graph on a fetal monitoring strip? See pictures attached with the lines circled in red. One image is a digital printout with the vertical lines in green and the other is the actual printout and you can see the vertical lines with partial arrowheads at the same points in time. Looks like the software is Clinical Computer Systems. I know marks like this can sometimes indicate fetal movement felt by the mother (like when the mom pushes a button like during a nonstress test), but this is from labor so I don’t think that’s what the lines indicate. The lines are at specific points in time and must indicate an event or mean something. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!
