I believe this is called a pleural effusion. I have had an u/s this morning and the tech discovered fluid on one lung. I don't know how substantial the fluid is. She asked if I have any infections that I know of this pregnancy. The answer is none. I haven't been able to talk to my midwife about the u/s because she is assisting a labor.

I am just worried, as I am sure most can relate. What info anyone could offer I would appreciate. Everything I have read online sounds dire (sp?).

The baby is 22 weeks along and a boy, other than that I have no idea what fluid on his lung means. I appreciate any direction.

I think it depends on how much and if it goes away - I think there are things tey can do if it doesn't - I'd see a specialist at a children's hospital....good luck
