DS2 was sick about a week ago - his fever got up pretty high a few times and he was congested and snotty. Then he was fine after a couple of days, and DS1 and I both got sick with what seemed to be the same thing.

Now DS2 seems to be sick again, snotty and congested, but his temp is totally normal during the day, and then at some point in the evening the past two days it has spiked up. Yesterday he was fine at 7:30 and by 7:45 was hot. He nursed for a couple of hours and finally fell asleep for the night, then woke up in a puddle after he wet the bed and his temp was normal again around 1am.

Today he was a little crabby, but otherwise fine until around 5:30 when he suddenly spiked a fever again. He spent the next 3ish hours nursing or crying and I gave him a little bit of tylenol, and then he fell asleep.

What's going on? I'm going to call his ped in the morning and see what she thinks.

What did your ped say? Ds had been going up and down the last two weeks as well. I'm hoping we're finally done now........

That always happens with my kids. I think it's totally normal, just the result of a virus. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, viruses often have a second "hump" to them I find.

Well he woke up happy this morning, so I decided he was fine and there was no reason to get the doc involved. I'm curious to see what the next few hours brings. I wonder if he could be teething - he's notorious for teething drama.

I also edited my OP because it's actually DS2 who's sick right now. DS1 is fine.
